How Important is Diet and Nutrition to Your Hot Yoga Body?

I cant emphasize this enough. You must incorporate a healthy diet and eat properly to maintain optimal health... we know that. But many people are mistakenly told that if they practice Bikram Yoga or Hot Yoga on a regular basis then thay can eay anything they want. That is simply false. Many times I teach classes and i see people who have not used their practice to tone and lose excess pounds. We are already obese as a country and pounded daily with ads promoting fat, fat, fat...

I strongly reccommend a very short book called the Self Health Revolution written by a guy named Michael Zenn www.selfhealthrevolution.com. It is simple and explains why you must incorporate salads and smoothies on a daily basis. And for many, many reasons.

But if you want to increase endurance, hold postures longer and get the amazing benefits of a regular yoga practice, then NO cheeseburgers for you!!!

When I run my retreats, I often use this as a time to reset my diet. See below:
